With magic wand we can make one solid colour base big selection. when you click in the image with magic wand tool this will make automatically one solid colour base selection.

There are three types of free hand selection tools which are as under.

1. Lasso tool                  
2. Polygonal Lasso tool
3. Magnetic Lasso Tool

Lasso Tool

Lasso tool is used to select a specific  portion of an image. while working on an image some times we need to select a smaller portion of an image, lasso tool is the ultimate solution for such a case.

in this picture i used the lasso tool to select only face and head of women.

Polygonal Lasso tool

The polygonal lasso tool is used to select a specific big selection in portion of an image. while working on an image some times we need to select a larger portion of an image, polygonal tool is the ultimate solution for such a case.

The magnetic lasso tool is  make selection automatically on the dges of  the picture. This is make solid colour base selection
